Friendship Day

Friendship Day is on the first Sunday of August, but as the end of the school year approaches, we wanted to celebrate it with our friends at school because we consider every day is "A FRIENDSHIP DAY"! It's a day to express our love for our friends and show them what they mean to us. We made friendship bracelets for each other since they are the most popular symbols of friendship. We tied them to the wrists and then friends become a part of our life. Then we walked around the playground and wrote positive remarks about our friends on each other's back. We're so happy to keep these notes with the compliments written on them.

I always find it sweet when friends exchange swap friendship bracelets. I wish I was able to do this for my friends when I was young. I just find it cute to have - like a promise to keep.

That's true, Ruby! We all wish we were able to do that when we were young and I like how my kids show their bracelets to their friends when they quarrel...as if they are reminding them that "you're my friend, don't forget that"...........
